About
Rooted in Change, Together is the next evolution of my resource-rich, advocacy encouraging, and community building work.
I have been a community organizer and advocate in my community since 2017. I hope to serve as one of many examples for those who yearn for a better world, who want to be a part of personal and societal change, and who do not want to feel alone in these endeavors.
I share my thoughts and innumerable resources to encourage people to engage in change work and remind all of us that there are many ways to do so.
I founded Facing Race in Arlington after hosting a community meeting to talk about resisting racism in August 2017, shortly after the violence in Charlottesville. That group evolved and grew into White Folks Facing Race in 2018, which has now grown and evolved again into this newsletter as my content is accessed worldwide.
My work is to share resources and motivate people to engage in anti-oppression work in themselves and their communities. In my work, I amplify and promote people in systemically impacted groups to ensure inclusion, access to power and opportunity, and I work in solidarity with my community to ensure that everyone has access to what they need and so that change happens systemically. It's all about how we take care of each other, on an individual and collective level.
I have committed to making this lifelong work. Please join me.
